Biography of Gustavo Ericson (1568-1607)

Royal Prince of Sweden, son of Eric XIV. He was born in 1568 and died in 1607. It was declared heir to the throne at birth, but when his father was deposed by the States in 1569, his supporters hid a Gustavo abroad. He spent his early years in Germany, Poland and Russia, and did so in a State so miserable that it had to be lad of posada. After suffering a few years captivity in Muscovy and refusing to accept a throne in Finland with conditions that Russia had imposed him, he regained the freedom to die in misery.
