American actress born on March 20, 1958 in Conyers (Georgia). Regarded as one of the most versatile and multi-faceted recent film actresses, the Oscar received best actress in 1993 for her performance in the piano.
The seven brothers, Holly Hunter small grew up in a ranch in his native Georgia. It soon showed interest in the world of interpretation and, encouraged by his parents, began to act in the theater group of the Institute until she decided to study acting at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
He decided to try his luck in New York, where he began to frequent the off-Broadway theatre groups, until in 1982 he definitely debuted on Broadway with work crimes of the heart.
