Greek, born towards the year 213, probably in Athens, and dead philosopher executed in Palmira (Sira) for supporting the anti-Roman resistance of this city. He studied at Alexandria with Plotinus, given by teachers Ammonio sacks and origins. He wrote commentaries to the Timaeus and the Phaedo, and several works on metaphysics, psychology, and moral, in which, among other things, argues against Plotinus the existence of ideas outside of the us.
