Biography of Torcuato Luca de Tena (1923-1999)

Journalist and Spanish novelist, law degree. Born in Madrid on June 9, 1932 and died in the same city on June 1, 1999. He/She is the son of Juan Ignacio Luca de Tena, with whom he/she collaborated on the drama of his first novel, another life of Captain Contreras (1953), very whimsical and satirical work. Other works that should be mentioned are: Ambassador hell (1955), prohibited age (1958), another woman (1961), the crazy compass (1965) and the crooked lines of God (1959), which achieved great popularity. His recent titles include: roles for small and large history (1991) and profane confessions (1993). Since 1972 he/she is member of the Royal Spanish Academy of language. The main awards that it has won are: Nacional de literature (1956), planet (1962), Fastenrath (1971) and Spain (1993) mirror.

In 1997 he/she published the novel titled first and last love, and in 1999 appeared Mercedes, Mercedes!.
