Biography of Jerónimo Maggi (ca. 1523-1572)

Man of letters, jurisprudente, military, scholar, engineer of Latin texts in the Venetian printing workshop of Ziletti and antique Tuscan born in Anghiari (Arezzo) to 1523. He was judge in the island of Cyprus, and died hanged by the Turks in Constantinople in 1572. His most notable works are: the first five songs of the war of Flanders; The fortification of cities; Of tintinnabulis; and equuleo.
