Biography of Jacobo Graham. Conde y Duque de Montrose (1612-1650)

Generalissimo and Viceroy of Scotland at the time of Carlos I, and one of the most famous proponents of this Prince, born in 1612. Initially joined the party of the Confederates of Scotland, then moved to the service of Carlos I, he won several victories against their opponents. After the death of Carlos I turned to France, and from there to Germany, where he took part in the latest campaigns in the thirty years war. In 1650 he invaded Scotland proclaiming to Carlos II, but soon was abandoned by his troops, and handed over to the States, being condemned to death and beheaded on 21 May of that year.
