Biography of Chester William Nimitz (1885-1966)

Chester Nimitz.

American marine. He/She was born in Texas. During the first world war he/she got Chief of submarines based in the Atlantic. It was Rear Admiral in Chief of the Bureau of navigation of the Admiralty and in 1941 he/she was tasked with the direction of the American squad in the central Pacific. A year later was named Chief of the staff, general of the Navy and Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Navy. In 1949, he/she prepared the plebiscite in Kashmir, as special administrator of the United Nations.
