Biography of Pentaur (ca. 1220 a.C.)

(Pntwr) Egyptian scribe who is a copy of the famous poem describing the battle of Kadesh, held between the Pharaoh Rameses II and the Hittite King Muwattalis 1284 b.c. The poem, improperly called Pentaur poem by its copyist, who lived during the reign of the Pharaoh Merenptah, arrived to enter up to a total of eight times in the most important Egyptian temples and some Papyri (among them the British Museum Papyrus Sallier III).
