Biography of Queen of Aragón Petronila (1135-1173)

Queen of Aragon from 1137-1162. He/She was born in 1135, and died in 1173. Daughter and successor of Ramiro II the monk. When the promise of her marriage with Ramón Berenguer IV (count of Barcelona) in 1137, he/she took the title of Queen of Aragon at two years of age, making his marriage in 1150. Their marriage had three sons (don Ramon, don Pedro and don Sancho) and two daughters (Mrs. Dulcia and Doña Leonor). Her husband Ramón Berenguer IV, dying, left their States Catalan to her children, although as overlords of the mayor, whom he/she bequeathed the succession of the Crown of Aragon and Catalonia.
