Biography of Zorayda Salazar (¿-VVVV)

Colombian soprano, born in Cali. Married to the Italian baritone Bruno Pola, he/she resides in Europe for years. Although he/she sang from the age of four, he/she was discovered by the Morales Pino Trío. He/She studied at the school of Teatro Verdi of Trieste (Italy), and at the Academy of Vienna opera. Took a few courses in vocal improvement and setting in Santiago of Chile, and vocal technique in Milan. He/She has sung in the most important venues in America, Europe and Japan, together with renowned international artists as Alfredo Kraus, next to the participated in the opera Werther, in Cagliari (Italy). In 1982 it arose at the Opera House in Milan, the highest honor that can suck an opera singer. Among other awards won by this artist are the Luciano Pavarotti competition, in São Paulo (1981), which earned him to represent Latin America in the end of Philadelphia; Silver feather given to the best opera singer by the Journalists Association of Peru; the Golden book for soloists in Porto Alegre (Brazil) and Il Rovere d'Oro, of the lyric circle Ettore Bastianini (Italy, 1993).
