Biography of King of Babilonia Samsu-Ditana (1625-1595 a.C.)

(Sa-am-su-di-ta-na) Eleventh and last King of the first dynasty of Babylon (amorrean dynasty), brother and successor of Ammi-Saduqa. Samsu-Ditana is documented in the Chronicles of the ancient kings and various Babylonian real lists (A and B), but has not reached any registration of what happened in his long reign of 31 years. Had to govern in the midst of a deep economic and social crisis, and his reign was interrupted by the destabilizing and unexpected attack of the Hittites, who, under the orders of Mursilis I, arose in Babylon. Samsu-Ditana was found death in that attack.
